Waveney Youth F. C.....More than a Football Club

Waveney Youth F. C. are an F. A. Charter Standard Community Club in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The Club has been established since 1978 and were awarded Community Club status in 2005.
The Club has been recognised for their achievements both locally and regionally but in 2007 the Club were awarded the F. A. National Charter Standard Community Club of the year.
by a National Panel who looked at what the club has achieved since joining the F.A. Charter Standard Scheme in 2003 and the biggest event in the Club's history was achieved when the panel voted Waveney Youth F. C. the best Club in England!!

As the name suggests, the Club has focussed on their community club status, we have excellent links with 8 primary schools in North Lowestoft with the pupils enjoying coaching sessions during after schools clubs. We host an annual Brownie and Guides Festival of football and this year will see the popular event reach it's 7th year.
If you have children who want to enjoy 90 minutes of football fun, then come along to Barnards Meadow on a Saturday morning from 10am and join The Saturday Football Club together with around 150 keen and eager children who come along each week.

Player development is very important to the club's success, we pride ourselves on making our members better players and to help achieve this we have our very own P.D.C. with fully qualified coaches who are always looking to better their own coaching skills, styles and techniques by attending workshops and working in partnership with F.A. Skills Coaches and developing relationships with other local clubs.

Waveney Youth F. C. Is not only about football, we have a very active Social Club who work tirelessly to hold events for both children and adults alike. Christmas parties, quiz nights, Fun Days and bowling nights are just some of the activities put on for you and your family to enjoy your Waveney Youth F. C. experience.

From Youth to Adult...

Would you like to Join the Club?

Last season the club took a massive step towards a long held ambition to become a senior side. The first step was achieved last season when the club was invited to join the Anglian Combination League. Success followed and promotion was gained. The team contains many players from the youth set-up and it is rewarding when we can offer our younger players the opportunities to continue their football career with Waveney Youth F.C. at a level they deserve. With only 4 teams from Lowestoft in the Anglian Combination League, the club offers a good level of competition.
Further success can only be achieved by co-operation and with the Saturday Reserves and the 'A' team, prominent in the Lowestoft & District League, working together a solid foundation to achieve senior status is a real possibility.

The Sunday league also has a solid representation of former WYFC youth players, the Hearts (last years Div. 1 Champions) and the Sunday 1st team being competitive in the Lowestoft Sunday League, there is no shortage of opportunities for the youth players to continue to wear the Gold / Black shirts for years to come.

Another ambition was realised this season with the formation of a ladies team, again the majority of those players have come through the ranks at Waveney Youth F. C. with the girls now having the same opportunities as the boys to further their playing days with the Club.

Waveney Youth F. C. is a totally inclusive Club, whether you are an experienced footballer wanting to change your club, or you want to try football for the very first time, you will be made most welcome at
Waveney Youth F. C.

If you want to join the club as a player or a coach then please send us your details by e-mail and we will get back to you.
