Club Welfare Officer

Club Welfare Officer - Paddy WoodhamThe Club's Welfare Officer is Paddy Woodham, he works with a panel of volunteers to ensure that the Club's policies and procedures regarding Safeguarding Children, CRB checks, emergency aid and volunteer references are being adhered to. Paddy attends regular training sessions to ensure he is up-to date with current guidelines and then feeds anything new to the Club's managers and coaches.

He has the responsibility to deal with any breaches of the F. A.'s Respect campaign either towards any player / supporter / manager within the club or against any other club / individual, he works closely with the league and County Welfare officers to effectively deal with any complaints in a common sense and practical way.

The Clubs Respect Code of Conduct

As an F. A. Charter Standard Community Club,
Waveney Youth F. C. has an obligation to ensure that the game of football is played in the right spirit and that the behaviour and conduct of our players, their parents and supporters together with the Club Officials are beyond reproach.
The Club has made enormous strides since being awarded the FA Charter Mark to ensure that everyone associated with
Waveney Youth F. C. enjoy a safe and positive environment to play or watch football.

Respect
is the F.A.'s programme to address unacceptable behaviour in football - on and off the pitch. The F. A. has provided a number of tools for parents and supporters to become more aware of the Respect Campaign, including a free on-line Respect Parent Guide to highlight examples of poor behaviour, and more importantly, how it can be improved.

Below are a selection of promotional videos produced by the Football Association to highlight the Respect Programme.

Featuring Ray Winstone

The second in The FA's series of Respect
films featuring actor Ray Winstone, aimed
at highlighting the pressures placed on
young footballers by angry and aggressive parents.
