Under 15 Girls on Tour

The Under 15A Girls went on their annual pre-season tour with a trip to Scotland.
The girls played games against York City Girls and a South East Scotland XI which also included ghost tour of York a visit to Hadrians wall, a bus tour of Edinburgh a visit to the Angel of the North and a trip to a waterpark.

The girls first game of the tour was against York City Girls, with a result that got the trip off to a wonderful start with a determined 10:0 victory with goals from Natasha Thomas (5), Laurie Teicher (3), Gemma Gooch and Shannon Reynolds.

The second game was a step up in class against a South East Scotland team in Edinburgh with a squad of 20 current and potential international players.
Despite playing against some very talented players Waveney aquitted themselves very well with a 5:1 loss

The manager and players would like to thank Richard Denny, director of the teams sponsors Anglia Fish Supplies
for their generous contribution to a very enjoyable tour.

The Waveney 1st team have made an excellent start to life in the 5th Division of the Anglian Combination. The fixture list threw up the same opening programme as last season, however 12 months ago Waveney lost their first two games against Corton Reserves and Hemsby, this season saw Paul Wells turn things around with two victories and sitting 2nd in the league.

2:0 down at Hemsby and down to 10 men, Richard Littler was determined to record his 100th career goal and came off the bench to net twice and earn a hard fought win.

An easier time was had with the home game against Corton Reserves  with goals from Joe Barker, Paul Hunter, Stephen Scarff and Littler again earned Waveney a 4:1 win.

A third straight win was against Brandon Town Reserves with goals from Paul Hunter (2), Ian Hunter, Tom Aldis and Joe Barker which has put the team in pole position
