This years Fun Day was a 'Roarying' success.
100's
of Club players, parents and members of Waveney
Youth F. C. gathered together in the sunshine at
Barnards Meadow to celebrate the end of the
season. The Club Mascot, 'Roary' for so long a 2
dimensional character came alive and he was
unveiled to all and quickly made friends
with the young and not so young.
A Children's Clown was on hand to entertain the
youngest players whilst the dads took part in a
mini-soccer five a side tournament.
Lowestoft Town F. C. goalkeeper Andy Reynolds
joined in the fun whilst proving to be a
formidable barrier as he thwarted so many
competitors who battled to see how many goals
they could score past him in a minute.
 The
Dads 5 a side tournament with an entry of 15
teams became the highlight of the day. With the
dads being cheered on by their children from the
touchline, the roles were reversed with the
dad's being told to shoot, pass, tackle, and get
stuck in!! by their offspring. The final was between
the dads of the Under 7B and Under 8B with
Social Club Chairman, Paul Burgess (pictured
left) scoring both goals to give a win to the
Under 7B's.Live music was provided by 'Matrix', who made
sure the feet were moving. Bouncy castles, ball
pool, BBQ and various side stalls kept members
and visitors entertained for the day.
