2008 Fun Day  
 

This years Fun Day was a 'Roarying' success.

'Roary', the Clubs mascot was unveiled for the 1st time.100's of Club players, parents and members of Waveney Youth F. C. gathered together in the sunshine at Barnards Meadow to celebrate the end of the season. The Club Mascot, 'Roary' for so long a 2 dimensional character came alive and he was unveiled to all and quickly made friendsThe Clown kept the young at heart entertained with the young and not so young.

A Children's Clown was on hand to entertain the youngest players whilst the dads took part in a mini-soccer five a side tournament.
Lowestoft Town F. C. goalkeeper Andy Reynolds joined in the fun whilst proving to be a formidable barrier as he thwarted so many competitors who battled to see how many goals they could score past him in a minute.
 

Paul Burgess celebrates after winning the finalAction from the Dads 5 a side finalThe Dads 5 a side tournament with an entry of 15 teams became the highlight of the day. With the dads being cheered on by their children from the touchline, the roles were reversed with the dad's being told to shoot, pass, tackle, and get stuck in!! by their offspring. The final was between the dads of the Under 7B and Under 8B with Social Club Chairman, Paul Burgess (pictured left) scoring both goals to give a win to the Under 7B's.Live music was provided by 'Matrix', who made sure the feet were moving. Bouncy castles, ball pool, BBQ and various side stalls kept members and visitors entertained for the day.
