Two Day Tournament - 2006

The Denes High School
Lowestoft

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August 2006

The Club's main fundraising event of the year and arguably the regions largest pre-season tournament took part with this years entry making it the Club's biggest tournament to date.
Teams from as far as Stevenage Town, Wivenhoe, Colchester, Norwich and Kings Lynn challenged the numerous local teams to pick up those prestigious trophies.

As well as the opportunity to watch the potential stars of the future, there were Bouncy Castles and speed kick challenge courtesy of the Eastern Daily Press. A selection of cars from local Ford dealer John Grose were also on show with a competition to guess the number of baloon's inside one of the cars.
A photographer specialising in Football Tournaments was on hand to take a number of action and team shots and these can be found at www.gotyou.co.uk

A raffle with some excellent prizes were on offer, and the 1st prize of a Media Centre Personal Computer, donated by Computer island has not yet been claimed, if you have any tickets tucked away in your purse or wallet give them a look, because if you have yellow tickets 248, 249 or 360 then contact the Club to claim your prize. We are also grateful to the following companies for donating the prizes. Wroxham Barns, Regent Bowl, Fynn Valley Golf Club, Anglia Sport, Gt. Yarmouth Race-Course, Ipswich Town F.C., Blackburn Rovers F.C., The Norwich Puppet Theatre and the Denes High School amongst others.
This year saw the introduction of a special award, The 'Daniel Felstead Memorial Award' which was donated by Daniels former team manager, Malcolm Dixon and dedicated to the memory of Daniel who was a youth team player for the Club who played the game with enthusiasm and committment. The award was presented to the Under 16's player of the final which this year went to Lee Rogers from Wivenhoe.

The Club would also like to thank all of this years sponsors who took advantage of some excellent packages to promote their business as well as supporting local grass roots football.
