Suffolk County Councillors supports W.Y.F.C.

Give us your views

Two local councillors have shown their support for grassroots football with a fantastic gesture of a £1137 grant to Waveney Youth F. C.
The Club is very grateful to Suffolk County Councillors Colin and Deanna Law for this wonderful donation which will be used to provide equipment to allow 6 year old boys and girls to join new teams and to support the associated coaching costs.

We have made the site a little more interactive and have now included a message board for you to air your views.
You can discuss the Club, or celebrate a win for your team or how your favourite teams in the Premiership are doing.

And Finally.....Portrait Of A Team Manager

You spend the last hour at work planning your evenings training session
You lose sleep before a game worrying if the team you choose for the next game is fair to the players and what the parents might think
You lose sleep after the game worrying if the team you chose for the game was fair to the players and what the parents might think
When your wife goes to the supermarket, she can't get the shopping in the boot because it is full of footballs, bibs, cones etc.
You plan your summer holiday around the tournament schedule
You pay the referee more than the going rate because you don't want to lose him
You never ask a parent of a player you substituted to help you take the nets down
You are always wearing tracksuit bottoms
Your phone is constantly ringing and it's always about football
When you meet someone, you always have in the back of your mind whether or not they can offer any sponsorship for the team
You are always looking at the weekend weather forecast
In the middle of January, you can't wait for the season to end
You get withdrawal symptoms when the season ends
When you meet your sons new friend, the first thing you ask them is their date of birth
You spend the summer re-discovering your garden
When you buy a new car, you consider how many players you can get in and whether the boot is large enough for the team kit
When you go shopping, you always buy something for the benefit of the team
Over half of your annual car mileage is clocked up during the weekend
Your wife knows there is no point in discussing anything with you for at least 2 hours before a game and probably 2 hours after it.
Does 'Talking to a brick wall' sound familiar
..........................But I bet you never ask yourself why?
