Where Do I
Train? |
Each
pitch is named after a famous football ground
and is dedicated to a particular age group. You
will remain on that pitch and train with others
of your age group. You will find details of
which pitch you are training, on the notice
board by the pavilion.

What
I should I wear? |
It is
very important that you are suitably dressed for
the weather. In the winter months you need to
keep warm, so hats, gloves and tracksuit bottoms
are perfectly acceptable. Please remember to
wear shin-pads to prevent some nasty knocks. The
changing rooms are available for you to get
changed in, but please remember to label your
clothing, our lost property box soon gets quite
full.

 |
What
will I learn? |
You
will be taught new techniques and skills in a
number of areas ranging from passing, heading,
dribbling and ball control to shooting and then
put this all together in small sided
games.

Who
will train me? |
We
have a number of coaches and volunteers within
the Club and most of them have been involved in
youth football for some time. You may have the
same coach throughout your time with us, but
there will be occasions when you will be trained
by one of the other coaches who may wish to
train a different age group to gain some
additional experience. All of the coaches hold a
minimum of the FA Level 1 Club Coach certificate
which includes attending a Child Protection
workshop and an emergency aid course. All of the
coaches have been subject to a Police Check

Can
I win anything? |
Everyone
loves to be a winner, but not everyone can be a
winner and we recognise this fact. We feel that
it is equally important to take part so we award
medals and trophies for attendance. Once you
have notched up 10 weeks with the Club you will
receive a medal and again at 30,50,75,100 and
125 weeks etc.
Every 6th week we hold an awards ceremony and
you will receive your award if you have
qualified.

Do
we have days out? |
Whilst
you are a club member you will be offered the
opportunity to come on trips and outings. We
have been to watch Norwich City and Ipswich Town
as well as cheering on England. These trips are
either FREE or heavily subsidised. Your parents
are welcome to come along, but there may be a
small cost. We have from time to time been
selected to play small sided games on Carrow Rd.
before the main match. This is a memory which
the you will hold for a long time!!

How
can
I play for a Waveney Youth FC Team? |
We recognise that a lot of boys
and girls want to play competitive youth league
football and many of our members now play for
teams.
You will be given every opportunity to play for
the Club if you want, but you might be happy
just to play football with us on a Saturday
morning, that's fine...You have the choice!!

Can
my mum or dad help? |
We
are always keen to hear from anyone who may be
interested in helping at the Club whether it is
to assist one of the coaches or help with the
drinks or serving at the refreshment bar.
A number of our current coaches are Dad's who
stood on the sidelines, like you, and watched
their children train on a saturday morning. They
showed an interest in puitting something back
into the community and have gone to take
coaching courses and got themselves qualified.
So the answer is a big YES.
If you would like to get involved, it
needn't be every week, just come
along and speak to us.
